OFSTED REPORT - JANUARY 2014
The Governors, staff and myself were very pleased with the report as there was so much positive information reported. Since our last inspection in November 2010, the approach to Ofsted inspections has changed and expectations have been raised considerably. Inspections now focus their judgements very much on the pupil progress in the key areas of reading, writing and maths and although it is very good at Lydbrook, it cannot yet be classified as outstanding. However, as it says in the report, we are well on the way. The Inspector recognised that all that has changed since the last inspection is having a very positive impact on our pupils’ learning.
On page 6 it reads that “we are all very ambitious for this school and have a clear vision and mission to be outstanding in the future” and we have no doubt we will get there sooner rather than later.
