We are very fortunate to have a nursery as part of our Early Years provision which caters for pre-school children from 2 years of age. The nursery is open Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The school also offers parents a breakfast club (from 8 a.m.) and afterschool care club (3 p.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday).
The structured nursery programme provides an ideal start for children. Their curriculum relates directly to the National Early Learning Goals which ties in well with the Reception class next door in our Early Years block. The nursery and Reception Class share a new outdoor play area completed this Easter and enjoy regular 'Forest School' experiences.
Robins nursery is available to all pre-school children and not just to those children registered with Lydbrook Primary School.
The children at Robins are very much part of the school and along with its own resources are able to access the school's facilities such as the hall, playground and school field. In the summer term the nursery join with the school children for family assembly and eat luch with the older children in the lunch hall.
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours funding of nursery provision. In addition some 2 year olds are also eligible. Please click on the link below for more information.
If you would like to book a place at our nursery either contact the school office or download the form below and send it into school.
