The School Day

School Hours: 8.55 - 12.05
  12.55 - 3.00

Children should arrive between 8.45 and 8.55.   We cannot accept any responsibility for children who arrive before 8.45 (unless they are booked into Breakfast Club) or who are on the premises after 3.10 pm (unless attending an after school club).   A special request for dropping a child off early or picking him/her up late should be given in writing to the Head Teacher.   It is important that the school day starts promptly at 8.55 and we ask for your co-operation in this respect.   On arrival, children should wait by their classroom door.  The teacher will let them in from 8.45 am.

Any pupils arriving late or being taken from school early must be signed in/out at the School Office.

At the end of the school day we ask parents to collect their child either from the outside door leading to the classroom or from the playgrounds.

Playtimes/lunchtimes

There is 15 minute playtime in the morning for all children.  This is usually from 10.45 am to 11.00 am.   All children have the opportunity to have milk and a healthy snack.  All Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 pupils have access to the national fruit and vegetable scheme and these are also available to Key Stage 2 pupils to purchase.   The children have 50 minutes for lunchtime and the infants have a further playtime in the afternoon.  During the lunch-time break, specially trained "playground leaders" from the upper juniors work with the infants on games and activities.   The juniors have access to a wide range of playground equipment to play with and when the weather is dry all the children have the opportunity to play on the school field.
