In the summer term the Jays have enjoyed 10 fantastic sessions with Voice Collective, from The Music Works!

We developed our song writing skills to create a song on the theme of 'Friendship'.

The sessions started with brainstorming the idea of 'Friendship', where we created a bank of key words and phrases which could be used in our song. We then started to think about a melody, and which key/ chords we wanted to add. The song was then developed over a number of weeks, where Victoria created a backing track made from a number of different instruments.

The recoding day took place on the 5th July where the Jays became popstars! We were recorded singing the song, (including some brave soloists!), as well as dance moves in the playground and Wellbeing Garden. It was a truly memorable experience, and the Voice Collective Team were so impressed with the talent and dedication of our children - WELL DONE JAYS!

 Victoria and Leah visited the Jays on Monday, 19th July to show us the final version of our video.
