5 Ways To Wellbeing
The Five ways to wellbeing are simple things that we can all do to improve our emotional health and wellbeing:
- Be active
- Take notice
- Keep learning
Connect: Spend time with family and friends. Enjoy doing things together and talking to each other.
Be active: It keeps you physically healthy, and makes you feel good
Keep learning: Try something new. Try a new hobby, or learn about something just because it interests you.
Take notice: Take a break to see how you feel. Relax and look around you or listen to music, take a few deep breaths.
Give: Do something for a friend or relation/adult, as well as making them feel good, it can make you feel good too!
This excellent initiative is used as a framework to help children understand that there are ways they can help themselves live a happy and healthy life.
These '5 Ways to Wellbeing' are used during assemblies, at playtimes and in classrooms to help children identify ways that they can stay healthy and happy in body and in mind.
Gloucester Rugby Club recently worked with some Year 6s to deliver a series of sessions which all linked to the '5 Ways to Wellbeing.' (Please see the separate link).
We have created a ‘5 Ways To Wellbeing’ on-going display to showcase everything we do at Lydbrook School which can be linked to each of the wellbeing areas.
