Magpies Home Learning
As you have seen once we go back to school on the 1st of June the home learning tasks will be changing. Click on the link below to see a timetable that you could follow at home to add structure to the week.
TT Rockstars, My Maths and Bug Club expectations have will stay same as before, however the home learning tasks are going to change how much they need be completed with more of a flexibility of what you can do. Mr Bowkett’s task will involve a video task that I will create for you to interact with at home that will be posted on the class page on the website each week if possible.
As you will be aware during the day, I will struggle to reply to emails straight away, but I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. As normal you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to show me the work you have completed or for any questions you may have.

We are onto week 5 already! I have still been extremely impressed with people’s responses to the home learning tasks and it has been great to receive many photos and emails from lots of you.
Remember the required home learning tasks are: Bug club (Reading and Grammar); My Maths (the three set tasks a week and TT Rockstars).
This weeks challenges have a wide variety of different things to do, if you are struggling to complete any as you don’t have the required equipment email me at email@example.com and I will be happy to help.

I hope you are well? This week we are going to continue our topic of ancient Egypt with some different activities added to the weekly plans.
I know it can feel very tricky to complete all the task in this time so it may be a good idea to create a timetable to help you split up the tasks. For example: My maths Monday, Bug Club Tuesday ….. Hopefully, this will help to complete all tasks and not feel too overwhelmed.
w/c 4th May 2020
Well done Magpies on your continued hard work in these strange and difficult times. I hope you are enjoying our topic on ancient Egypt this week we will be focusing on Egyptian God.
I am happy to still be receiving emails from you and your parents. Remember you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org I am happy to answer any questions, it would also be great to know how you are getting on.
On Friday is VE day so Instead of a maths task there is a short discussion task to have with families as well as a Horrible History song about VE Day to help you learn about why we celebrate VE Day.
Remember that I am looking for 3 reads on Bug Club as well as the completion of the grammar task. As well as this I am looking for you to complete the 3 My Maths tasks and to be using TTRockstars as frequently as possible, about 3 times a week.
27th April 2020
This week we are going to continue our topic of ancient Egypt, with the focus of Where is Egypt, with a variety of different tasks including reading and geography.
I have been extremely impressed with the effort people are making to complete the online task, keep this up please. It has also been fantastic to hear from so many of you about what work you have been doing.
w/c 20th April 2020
I hope you are all doing okay in these very different times! While I would like you to continue with My Maths, Bug Club and TTRockstars, I will now be setting tasks for you to complete each week. This week we are starting our new topic which is Ancient Egypt. Our first week of tasks is all about Tutankhamen (Tu-tan-har-mun) and who he was. Before you start if you watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZOPWSXMvzI it will give you an overview to start with.
It has been great to see so many of you on TTrockstars and it has been great to see such high scores on the tournament that have been set. I would now like to see more of you trying to get yourself a studio time. If you have already set a studio time see if you can beat it.
I will be resetting all My Maths task for you to start fresh this week, so you may find you have already completed some tasks before, but it is always good to keep practicing so that you can improve.
Remember you can email me at email@example.com with any questions link to the set work or how you are getting on with home learning.
