Hello Jays,

It is the last day of home learning!

Below are today's tasks, and I look forward to seeing you at 9:30am for our first Teams meeting for the day.

Don't forget to bring something to write with and some paper!

If you could watch the video clip on the Literacy PowerPoint about Homophones before the lesson, it would be very helpful.

I have added the lyrics and recording of the song for Voice Collective - please learn!

Information about next week: 21st June - 25th June

Dear Jays,

We hope you have had a good day, and it was lovely to see some of your graphic organisers and Maths work which were emailed to us.

We are very much looking forward to continuing with our learning next week! Hopefully you have received an invitiation for a Jays Teams meeting at 9:30am on Monday morning. This will be a chance to have a catch up, and we can explain what will be happening in the week. I will aslo talk you through the day's Maths lesson.

We will then have our next Teams meeting at 11am where we will start the Literacy lesson together, before you complete the task independently. Finally, we will have a Teams meeting at 1:30pm where we will read some of our class book 'Outlaw' and the afternoon's activity will be introduced.

This set up of 3 daily Teams meetings will then be repeated through the week, (apart from Thursday, details to follow).

If you have any problems with your Teams log-in details then please contact the school from 8:45am on Monday morning and Mrs Ruck will be able to assist you.

A timetable of the week's activities (including the morning activities you can complete before the first Teams meeting at 9:30am), will be uploaded on this page on Sunday evening. Any resources needed for Monday's lessons wil also be included.

We hope you have a lovely long weekend, and we are very much looking forward to seing you all on Monday at 9:30am!

A return to home learning!

Dear Jays,

We are so sorry that we have had to resume our home learning, however it won't be for long and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 28th June.

We are both so proud of how you handled the news today, and the way you supported us in ensuring eveyone had what they needed before they went home.  It was a bit of a rush, please let us know if you need anything although the resources will be added to the website.

Resources sent home today:

Information sheets for Thursday's literacy session on Anglo-Saxon settlements.

2 x Graphic organisers (one draft and one final copy)

A selection of worksheets on addition and subtraction of fractions.

Some squared and lined paper.

The home learning will follow the same format as before, with the tasks added to this page in the evening in preperation for the day to follow.  Below you will find the learning tasks for tomorrow (Thursday 17th), Friday is an inset training day so there will be no work set, however Monday's learning tasks will be uploaded Sunday night.

Please feel free to email us any work or any questions or queries you have at jays@lydbrook.gloucs.sch.uk

Many thanks for your continued support,

Miss Sprawson and Mrs Fellows
