Please bring your whiteboard and any work that you're proud of (like your steam train from yesterday for example) to the Teams meeting today!

Microsoft Teams Meeting 9:30am Friday

I am looking forward to seeing all the children who are home learning on Teams on Friday! This meeting will give you a chance to see me and your classmates (including those who are in school) and to say hello. It is an informal meeting which will last no longer than 20 minutes. Please make sure you are ready to be invited into the meeting at 9:30!

Monday 18th January 2021

Hello Hawks!

I hope you and your families are all well and that you enjoyed the home learning tasks that were set last week.

Just like last week, I have given you a weekly timetable with an idea of timings for the day. Try to stick to the normal school day at home but I understand if this is tricky, especially if you are sharing a laptop. If you cannot complete tasks at the time you would normally in school, think about when in the day you will be able to do them.

Each day I will upload the lesson plan for maths, literacy and the afternoon session. It is important that you read these before starting any tasks. I will also continue to upload the tasks and PowerPoints that you will need each day.

I know that lots of children do not have printers at home. You should be able to do the tasks by having them up on the screen and then completing them in your maths or literacy books that I sent home in your home learning pack.

Some children from Hawks are in school. I will be teaching them exactly the same as the tasks that I am setting the children at home. It is REALLY important that you keep up with the tasks, particularly maths and literacy, so that you do not miss out on important new learning.

I would really like to know how the home learners are getting on. Try to email me at least once this week - I would love to see photographs of your work and to hear how you are getting on.

Stay safe and keep smiling!

Mrs Hughes

Please take the time to look at the overview timetable for this week.

Try to keep to the timings. If you cannot complete tasks at the time you would normally in school, think about when in the day you will be able to do them.

Useful Resources

In literacy we are building up to writing our own information texts about the Industrial Revolution. You are going to be planning these later this week. I have included the reading comprehension and video links below that we used last week as these may be helpful.
